Who We Are

The Environment Affairs Department (EAD) is a government agency established to exercise general supervision and coordination over all matters relating to the environment, natural resources and climate change management. It provides environmental stewardship and enforces the environmental mandate through various approaches and strategies. Among others, it promotes conservation, sustainable use, and protection of the environment and natural resources in line with the principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Malawi Growth and Development Strategy (MGDS) and other development goals.
